探寻现代水墨 塑别样东方美
——专访江西师范大学美术学院院长万国华先生

　　Any regional culture is in the process of assimilation and alienation, absorb its essence and give up its dregs, gather all advantages. Especially in the information explosion today, Chinese artists are exploring how to decide on what path to follow painting, how to let the outside world make a glimpse of Chinese culture’s broad and profound and keep pace with the times. Wan Guohua is one of the best. Wan Guohua’s first cross-border of “Textiles” on 1986 painting was gave as a national present to former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher by Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He was not satisfied with this, after then he created "porcelain painting” of non born character and color Peking Opera character, only to explore the modern Chinese painting and shape special orient beauty.
　　任何地域文化无一不是在进行着同化与异化的过程，取其精华去其糟粕，采众家之长成一家之言。尤其是在信息大爆炸的当下，国画家们正在努力探寻水墨画何去何从，如何能让外界在方寸间一窥中国文化的博大精深和与时俱进。万国华便是其中的的一位佼佼者。万国华于1986年跨界首作漆画《纺线线》，被外交部礼宾司作为国礼赠送给英国前首相撒切尔夫人。他并没有满足于此，后独创没骨青花人物和重彩京剧人物瓷板画,只为探寻现代水墨，塑造别样的东方美。
